Job summary

The EURēCA! Student Assistant in Environmental Toxicology at University of Colorado Denver will contribute to an on-campus PFAS-related study by preparing liver tissues and supporting histological analyses in a collaborative lab.

You'll work under supervision, gain hands-on experience in histology, microscopy, and data management, and present findings at the RACAS symposium, developing scientific communication skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in biology or related field with interest in toxicology.
• Ability to follow protocols, document observations, and learn histology methods.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preserved liver tissues for histological evaluation by standard methods.
• Conduct microscopic evaluation and score histopathology using blinded criteria.
• Organize data, perform basic statistics, and prepare figures for RACAS.
