Job summary

Colorado State University in Fort Collins seeks a Graduate Advising Coordinator in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department to support graduate students through their degree journey, from admission to completion.

You will serve as the primary contact for M.E., M.S., and Ph.D. students, advising on plans of study, fellowships, internships, and curricular opportunities, and collaborate with the Graduate School and other offices on international student programs and visas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• At least one year of experience providing one-on-one academic support for graduate students.
• Familiarity with student development theories and advising.
• Two or more years in a customer-focused office environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Graduate Advising: advise on plans of study for M.E., M.S., and Ph.D. programs and for international students.
• Graduate Admissions: manage application processing, intake, review, and admission decisions.
• Recruiting: identify and recruit graduate students and match them to GTA, GRA, or fellowships.
• Other Associated Duties: initiate and maintain GTA/GRA contracts and assist with sponsor invoicing and awards.
