Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, higher education, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial aid administration or a related area.
• In-depth knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in supervising staff and leading a team.
• Proficiency in financial aid systems (PowerFAIDs, PeopleSoft).
• Knowledge of federal student aid programs (COD, NSLDS) is preferred.
• NASFAA credentials are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate awarding of financial aid for graduate and law programs.
• Process student financial aid applications including federal grants, loans, and work-study.
• Verify eligibility, review documentation, and resolve discrepancies.
• Determine and package financial aid awards based on need and funding.
• Meet with students in person to address financial aid concerns and provide guidance.
• Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Institutional policies.
• Lead and develop the financial aid team; liaise with colleges and offices.
