Job summary

Qualifications

  • EIT/ FE certification.
  • Membership in ASPE, ASHRAE, or NFPA (preferred).
  • AutoCAD or Revit drafting skills.
  • Internship experience in engineering-related firm.
  • Courses in sustainability or USGBC participation.

Responsibilities

  • Design of Plumbing and lab/medical gas services within the built environment, with an emphasis on sustainable design.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop integrated solutions for complex buildings.
  • Perform engineering calculations and modelling.
  • Document system design in Revit MEP.
  • Communicate technical ideas to a broad range of audiences using various formats, including presentations and workshops.

Our team provides plumbing, fire protection, and specialty utility design for complex facilities including research laboratories, commercial, healthcare buildings, and large institutional campuses. We work closely with architects, engineers, and end users to develop systems that support critical building operations, ranging from domestic water, sanitary drainage, and hot water systems to medical gases, laboratory utilities, RO/DI water, compressed gases, and fire protection infrastructure. Team members have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects from early planning and concept design through detailed engineering and construction support.

Is this role right for you?

  • No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
  • Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts

Houston Hiring Range — Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Houston is $76,500 to $83,500 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Houston will differ.
