Job summary

CVS Health Graduate Pharmacy Intern program offers an opportunity to apply didactic learning from pharmacy school in a real-world setting, under the guidance of a preceptor. The 120-day training roadmap is designed to deepen knowledge of store operations, patient safety, and drug utilization review while shaping the foundation for a pharmacist role.

You will support pharmacy teams to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, learn standard operating procedures, and cultivate empathy

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Maintain patient safety and accurate prescription labeling to ensure quality care
• Provide customer service and contribute to a collaborative team environment
• Assist in immunizations and other pharmacy services when qualified
• Adhere to SOPs and maintain compliance with regulations and privacy requirements
• Support inventory and pharmacy operations as directed by leadership
• Remain flexible for scheduling and market-wide store coverage
