Job summary

CVS Health Graduate Pharmacy Intern program offers hands-on training in a retail pharmacy setting, applying didactic education to real-world practice under a preceptor and district leadership. You will follow a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap to deepen patient safety, DUR reviews, and professional standards.

As readiness grows, you will take on increased accountability within the pharmacy team, including patient counseling, immunizations where permitted, and collaboration across store

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Complete required training within designated timeframe
• Assist pharmacists to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately
• Counsel patients and answer questions under supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions when needed
• Deliver patient care services and immunizations where allowed by law
• Travel to stores in the market to support staffing needs
