Job summary

CVS Health’s Graduate Pharmacy Intern program provides hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy, where you’ll apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor and district leadership. You’ll complete a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap to deepen knowledge of store, district, and regional operations.

You’ll develop patient safety practices, DUR concepts, and proper SOP adherence while supporting the pharmacy team to fill prescriptions safely, promptly, and compassionately.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate from a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Deliver patient-centered service by supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Assist in immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowed by state law and training.
• Support pharmacy team with counseling under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Education

PharmD degree from a U.S. accredited program

Active pharmacist intern/technician licensure in process or obtained

Ability to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days
