Job summary

CVS Health in California seeks a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy practice. Under a preceptor, you will complete a 120‑day training roadmap, assist the team with dispensing, patient care, immunizations where allowed, and learning SOPs to ensure safe, accurate prescriptions and exceptional service.

As readiness grows, you may support store operations, inventory, and patient counseling, travel to stores in the market, and contribute to a safe, inclusive

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner and provide customer service.
• Assist with immunizations, when allowed by state regulations and training.
• Counsel patients and gather information to ensure safe and effective therapy under supervision.
• Maintain high accuracy in dispensing and labeling; follow SOPs and safety procedures.
• Support inventory activities and cycle counts as directed by leadership.
• Be flexible and travel to stores in the market to support business needs.
