Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice within CVS Retail stores. You will work under a pharmacist preceptor to complete a 120‑day training roadmap, support daily pharmacy operations, and develop patient-centered care skills.

As readiness increases, you’ll take on greater accountability and may travel to other stores to support the market. The role emphasizes safety, SOP compliance, and compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
• Contribute to patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
• Counsel patients and obtain medical history information to provide optimal care
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and clarification under supervision
• Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy staff
• Complete basic inventory activities and store operations
• Support immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted by law
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed
• Follow all laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy

Education

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
