This role coordinates and evaluates patient care with the health team, following the nursing process and Texas Board of Nursing standards. The GN candidate should graduate from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with RN licensure within 6 months of hire and CPR certification at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• RN license required within 6 months of hire.
• Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
• Current CPR certification required at hire.
• Handle With Care training including physical hold and verbal de-escalation during orientation.
• Graduate permit allowed on a temporary basis and RN license upon permit expiration or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaboration with health team members per the nursing process and standards of care.
• Assist with nursing duties as part of the care plan in accordance with Texas Board of Nursing.
