Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized patient care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. You will administer medications, document care, educate families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

The role is 36 hours per week with day shifts; ADN required, BSN preferred, and current RN license in Illinois. Qualifications include CPR/BLS within 90 days and unit-specific certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• RN license in state of practice; CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process and collaborates with the care team.
• Administers medications and therapies per policy and law.
• Documents care and assessments according to standards.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Develops patient care plans aligned with physician orders.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Escalates safety concerns through proper channels.
• Contributes to longitudinal patient care planning.
