The Four-Time ANCC Magnet designated UPMC St. Margaret is currently hiring a Full-time Professional Staff Nurse to support various Acute Care units as part of a special Rotational Program at our Aspinwall, PA location.
The Graduate Nurse Rotational Program is a rebranded initiative specific to St. Margaret and will begin in February and July 2025. Selected participants will rotate through six various units (progressive care, rehab, ortho, neuro/oncology, renal/resp, and surgical floor) for six months.
Each new graduate will have an experienced registered nurse as a mentor and will have preceptors for each “rotation”. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from many talented nurses and receive a broad education on all foundational nursing skills.
At the end of the “rotations”, you will be matched through a mutual matching process with a participating unit, or you may remain in the resource pool.
What units are included in the Graduate Nurse Acute Track?
Our RNs work a rotating 12-hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.
The Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment, demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. This role requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and partnership with physicians, care providers, patients, and families to achieve desired outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
