If you are graduating in Spring 2026 from nursing school and looking to launch your nursing career, our Graduate Nurse Rotational Program may be the perfect fit! You will rotate through various units within the hospital's Oncology Division to gain valuable experience while working alongside experienced nurses who will mentor and guide your learning.

About UPMC Shadyside: UPMC Shadyside's Oncology Division develops nurses to be part of the future of cancer care, offering opportunities for growth through continued education and certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).

  • 2 Pavilion/South Hematology/Oncology: A fast-paced unit focusing on chemotherapy treatments and ongoing education.
  • 5 Main Medical Oncology: Specializes in cancer and blood disorders, participating in research and offering training in oncology care.
  • 6 Main Medical Oncology: Serves lymphoma patients and is a clinical education unit for nursing students.
  • 6 West Stem Cell Transplant: Focuses on stem cell transplants, CAR-T cell infusions, and cutting-edge research, with opportunities for certification as a Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN).
  • 7 Main Hematology/Oncology: Specializes in leukemia treatment with extensive chemotherapy administration and patient education.

What is the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program (GNRP)? Starting in August 2026, participants will rotate through units such as 2 Pavilion & South, 5 Main, 6 Main, 6 West, and 7 Main for 12 months.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
