Job summary

UNM Hospital is seeking Graduate Nurses for the RN Residency Program in Albuquerque, NM. GNs must have graduated from a nursing program by December 2026 and apply for NCLEX/NM licensure within 60 days of hire. The role includes transitioning to an RN position after successful completion of competency requirements.

Qualifications

Graduate Nurse program completion or enrollment in NM RN licensure process
Active NM RN license or Graduate Permit required within 60 days of hire
Bilingual abilities may enhance communication with diverse patients

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, direct patient care under RN supervision
Adhere to hospital and departmental policies
Develop and document individualized care plans and discharge planning
Administer medications following the Seven Rights and document findings
Assist with tests/procedures and obtain proper consent
Assist in emergency procedures and maintain a safe environment
Contribute to patient safety initiatives and quality improvement
Engage in professional development activities and training
