Job summary

Penn State Hershey Medical Center, part of Penn State Health, is offering a Graduate Nurse Residency Program for new RN graduates. This full-time role provides structured education, hands-on patient care on a 16-bed unit, and a year-long rotational experience with a focus on safety and quality nursing care.

Eligible candidates must be graduates within one year, hold GN or RN license/permit, and complete required certifications prior to orientation end.

Qualifications

• GN or RN license with temporary permit; eligible to work as graduate nurse.
• AHA BLS certification required prior to end of orientation.
• GN and/or RN license, professional nursing certification and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a designated patient group across unit.
• Engage in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Participate in ongoing learning opportunities within the residency program.
• Remain on one unit for the entire 12-month program.
