Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is inviting RN graduates to apply for inpatient nursing positions at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH). Graduates may begin with a Graduate Nurse Temporary Practice Permit (GN TPP) or RN license and enroll in the Nurse Residency Program after orientation.

AGH is a Level I Shock Trauma Center with multiple ICUs and a major Cancer Center, within AHN, a nine-hospital system of Highmark Health. AHN emphasizes growth, education, and patient-centered care across communities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.

Allegheny General Hospital (AGH), a part of Allegheny Health Network (AHN), is considering RN graduates for many of our inpatient nursing units.

AGH allows our nursing graduates to start with a Graduate Nurse Temporary Practice Permit (GN TPP), or Registered Nurse (RN) license.

As part of our program, all Graduate Nurses are automatically enrolled into our Nurse Residency Program (NRP). This is in addition to nursing orientation, following you through your first year as a nurse.
