Job summary

Secure Base Counseling Center is seeking a graduate-level clinical intern to join our team as a mental health therapist in Minnesota. This part-time internship offers flexible scheduling, after-school or evening hours, and a $2,500 semester stipend.

You’ll shadow experienced therapists, carry a caseload, and learn to provide trauma-informed, attachment-based care across ages and backgrounds. You’ll develop diagnostic assessments and treatment plans, work within DHS standards, and receive weekly

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master's program in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to client-centered care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of therapy clients in one of our outpatient clinics.
• Learn from other therapists through shadowing opportunities.
• Provide systemic, trauma-informed care through an attachment lens.
• Learn how to write diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes that meet DHS standards.
• Grow professionally through a supportive, reflective supervisor relationship.
