Job summary

Secure Base Counseling Center in Farmington, MN, is seeking a graduate-level clinical intern to join our team as a mental health therapist. The role offers a part-time schedule with after-school or evening hours and a $2,500 stipend per semester.

You will shadow experienced therapists, carry a caseload in our outpatient clinics, learn to work with clients of all ages, and document assessments and plans under DHS standards, supported by a reflective supervisor.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master's program in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to client-centered care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of therapy clients in one of our outpatient clinics.
• Learn from other therapists through shadowing opportunities.
• Provide systemic, trauma-informed care through an attachment lens.
• Write diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes meeting DHS standards.
• Grow professionally through supervisor support and regular feedback.

• Position: Graduate Level Clinical Intern
• Location: Farmington, Northfield or New Prague, MN
• Type: Part-time (flexible scheduling but some after school or evening hours required)
• Compensation: $2500 stipend per semester available

The Pay Range For This Role Is
