Job summary

Hood College in Frederick, MD invites applications for a women’s lacrosse graduate assistant position. The role supports the head coach in recruiting qualified student-athletes, instructing and developing players, and preparing for games while engaging in community involvement.

Responsibilities include organizing practices, representing the department during travel, budgeting and fundraising, and scheduling within NCAA guidelines, with the possibility of additional duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years’ coaching experience, preferably at collegiate level.
• Full acceptance into Hood College graduate program.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
• Must maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in organizing and conducting practices during the traditional season; non-traditional season practices may be required.
• Assist head coach to represent the department during team travel for competitions.
• Assist head coach in budgeting, equipment purchases, travel planning, and fundraising.
• Assist in scheduling within NCAA guidelines for season start/end.
• Represent athletics at admissions open houses and predetermined events.
• Other duties as assigned.
