Job summary

Hood College in Frederick, MD is seeking a part-time Women’s Lacrosse Graduate Assistant to support head coach, recruit athletes, and develop players. Responsibilities include organizing practices, coordinating travel, budgeting, and assisting in competition planning.

The role also involves representing the department at events and helping with recruiting efforts while maintaining NCAA compliance and GPA expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and proven successful coaching, with 2-3 years’ experience preferred.
• Full acceptance into Hood's graduate programs is required.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations is preferred.
• Must maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in organizing and conducting practices during the traditional season.
• Assist the head coach to serve as department representative during team travel.
• Help manage operating budgets, equipment purchases, and team travel.
• Assist in scheduling and NCAA-compliant season planning.
• Represent athletics at admissions events and other activities.
• Assist in developing and executing recruiting strategies.
• Work with admissions to recruit qualified prospective student-athletes.
