Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking a Design & Research Intern to support human-centered experiences across delta.com, the Fly Delta app, and internal tools. You will work with UX/UI designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to design, test, and refine customer-facing and employee-facing solutions.

You will participate in user research, contribute to design explorations, and help bring concepts to life through prototyping and documentation in a dynamic digital product environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Product Design, Human Factors, HCI, Psychology, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience translating research or design work into real-world applications (academic, professional, or applied research projects)
• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team settings
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling personal data appropriately
• Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Design & prototyping: create user flows, wireframes, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes

You will participate in user research, contribute to design explorations, and help bring concepts to life through prototyping and documentation. This internship offers hands‑on experience within a dynamic digital product environment, providing exposure to design systems and end‑to‑end experience creation.

What You’ll Do (key Responsibilities)

Design & Prototyping

• Help create user flows, wireframes, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes
• Explore design options through iterative ideation

• Assist in planning, conducting, and synthesizing user research sessions
• Observe user behaviors, identify patterns, and uncover insights
