Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Cost Advisory Consultant in New York to support infrastructure projects across transport, energy and resilience sectors. You will assist with cost estimates, schedules, risk models and value engineering while collaborating with engineers, planners, and clients.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, data-driven decision making and strong communication to satisfy client needs. Travel domestically and internationally may be required as projects unfold.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field with coursework in economics or engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset and quantitative skills for cost estimation and risk assessment.
• Experience working with stakeholders across developers, governments and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Aid in consultation with stakeholders on infrastructure project delivery.
• Collaborate with design professionals to understand project scope and impacts.
• Prepare cost estimates, schedules, risk models and life cycle analyses.
• Develop high-level and detailed construction cost estimates using top-down and bottom-up methods.
• Read design documents and perform quantity take-offs for varied projects.
• Monitor market trends and present evidence-based recommendations.
• Present findings to clients in meetings and workshops.
