Job summary
Hoare Lea is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join one of the UK's leading building engineering consultancies. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting high-profile projects and developing fire engineering expertise from day one.
You will explore a range of sectors, gain exposure to CFD modelling, and receive accredited training with a mentor to progress toward Chartered Engineer status. Flexible and hybrid working options are available.
Qualifications
- An Engineering Council accredited degree, ideally Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent (Building Services, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- A friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach
Responsibilities
- Work on live projects from day one across healthcare, hotels, retail and residential sectors
- Produce detailed designs and drawings using CAD and Revit
- Undertake site surveys and research new technologies
- Contribute to fire safety design and life safety strategies within a multi-disciplinary team
- Undertake CFD analyses, smoke and temperature spread calculations and related modelling
