Job summary

University of California, Irvine seeks a Graduate and Family Housing Family Resource Coordinator to support parenting students and families within Student Housing. You will develop curricula, supervise student staff, manage projects and budgets, and collaborate with campus partners to build belonging.

Under supervision, you will assess needs, provide crisis intervention, advise groups, and help expand programs managed by the Family Resource Center.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
• Strong knowledge of university-specific computer application programs and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs / Student Life and needs of parenting students.
• Skills in judgment, decision-making and problem solving.
• Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
• Experience counseling parenting students/residents and groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop programs and services to support parenting students and families.
• Supervise student staff, program/curriculum development and implementation, and budget oversight.
• Advise groups and coordinate community through resident events and activities.
