Job summary

UC Irvine seeks a Graduate and Family Housing Family Resource Coordinator to support parenting students and families. You will provide counseling, policy interpretation, and crisis intervention while coordinating programs and supervising student staff.

You will collaborate with campus partners to develop curricular responses to parenting student needs, oversee budget and events, and help create a Belonging-focused community in Graduate and Family Housing.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
• Strong knowledge of university policies and risk assessment.
• Experience in Student Affairs or Student Life, with parenting students.
• Ability to respond calmly in crisis situations and provide crisis management.
• Experience in budgeting and record-keeping for programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs and services to support parenting students and families.
• Supervise student staff and coordinate programming and curriculum development.
• Collaborate with campus partners (SOAR Center, UCIPD, Counseling Center, Health Services).
• Assist in budget development, training, and evaluation of staff.
• Engage residents and build a sense of community within Graduate and Family Housing.
