Qualifications

• Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Recreation, Sport Management, Business Management, or other related field.
• Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing.
• Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, evaluate, and discipline up to 100 undergraduate staff members across facilities.
• Supervise daily staff to ensure policy enforcement on the fitness floor and campus spaces.
• Facilitate regular staff meetings and risk management training.
• Provide professional development through NACE Career Readiness Competencies.
• Oversee Campus Center operations and safety, including opening/closing, cash handling, and access issues.
• Provide evening and weekend coverage as a building manager as needed.
• Assist in creating and monitoring two UWG budgets (approx. $300,000) for student wages and supplies.
• Maintain inventory and upkeep of equipment and Campus Center supplies.
• Attend monthly professional development opportunities and graduate assistant workshops.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid instructor certification and certify staff.
