Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Scientist I, Environmental for our Dallas, TX office. We welcome new graduates graduating in December 2026 or May 2027 for an entry level Environmental Scientist role with strong field data collection experience.

You will work with engineers and project managers on environmental solutions, assist with permit applications, and support multi-disciplinary teams. Travel up to two weeks may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, natural resources management, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Hands-on field data collection experience and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and adhere to standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work to collect samples, conduct surveys and analyze data.
• Assist with permit applications and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and other professionals on environmental solutions.
• Provide quality support to multi-disciplinary teams for successful delivery.
• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency with ArcGIS and GPS technology.
• Resource delineations and impacts analysis; environmental permitting (preferred).
• Threatened and Endangered species surveys, permitting and relocation.
• Travel and stay out of town for extended periods up to two weeks.
• Work outdoors in varying climates with safety and productivity in mind.
