Swiss Re’s Graduate Programme for Early-Career Talent invites graduates to develop a 360° view of Engineering and Specialty Reinsurance. You’ll rotate through local teams, gain underwriting experience, risk assessment, and portfolio insights, while receiving tailored coaching and mentorship.

You’ll contribute to risk evaluation, pricing, and client engagement as you build a foundation for a career in underwriting with exposure to North America and Latin America markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management & Insurance, Data Analytics or other quantitative discipline; masters may be considered.
• GPA of 3.0+ expected.
• ≤3 years of professional experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review risk factors for projects across diverse industries such as infrastructure, civil & mechanical engineering, energy and marine sectors.
• Assess emerging risks and global projects like semiconductor plants, data centres, battery manufacturing, hydrogen power generation.
• Review technical reports, coverage terms, loss history, financial info, catastrophe exposures and market trends.
• Analyze risk information and engineering reports to support underwriting decisions.
