LJA Engineering, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Graduate Engineer III in Transportation to build a solid career foundation while expanding skills across disciplines.

You will work on design calculations, plans, and schematic designs for transportation projects across the state, with mentoring and development programs. The role includes peer learning, hands-on experience with professional engineers, and support for future PE exam preparation and license renewal.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience with MicroStation ORD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and preparing schematic designs on transportation projects across the state.
• Contribute to a variety of projects including high profile interstate corridors and multi discipline arterial projects for State and local government projects.
• Learning/Teaching in a peer-setting.
• Gaining key experience working directly with professional engineers.
• Developing/using advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices.
• Interact with clients and other consultants.
• Team lunches/breakfasts and social activities

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Graduate Engineer III at LJA Transportation, will allow you to develop a strong career foundation, expand your base skills into a larger repertoire of technical tools across multiple disciplines and be assigned project roles that best fit your interests, drive, and skill. The structure of our organization is designed to maximize your development through peer learning, communication & organization enhancement courses, mentor programs, and diverse discipline opportunities, resulting in advancement specific to your individual performance. When the time comes, LJA will assist you with your preparation for the PE Exam by covering the costs of a one-time prep class and pay for the annual license renewal once you have it.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
