Placements24 is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our client’s project development team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This office-based role offers hands-on experience designing, developing and implementing electrical systems for renewable energy installations such as solar and wind farms, under the guidance of seasoned engineers.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, eagerness to learn, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Competenze

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and control systems.
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, PVSyst) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• A proactive approach and a strong desire to learn and develop within the renewable energy sector.
• Must be willing to travel for project-related activities and work on-site as required in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

Mansioni

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
• Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies for new project sites.
• Support the preparation of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical).
• Participate in site visits for project planning, installation oversight, and commissioning.
• Assist in the procurement process for electrical components and equipment.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical engineering issues during project execution.
• Contribute to performance monitoring and optimisation of operational renewable energy assets.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation related to project lifecycle.
