Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a critical on-site team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex faults, and supervise technicians to safeguard reliability and uptime of electrical systems.

As a hands-on engineer, you will develop maintenance strategies, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with production and engineering to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, motor controls, instrumentation, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical faults and equipment failures.
• Oversee and perform installations, modifications, and upgrades to electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage electrical maintenance personnel, providing technical guidance and supervision.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement system improvements.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues efficiently.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure adherence to electrical safety protocols.
