Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a Graduate Intern - Engineer for the Electric Transmission Operations Engineering Support Team. You will work with a mentor to learn electrical equipment concepts using IEEE standards, Excel, and Office tools.

You will help develop post-event verification for FACTS devices and propose data-sharing improvements to aid asset management. Site walkdowns and field support are part of the program, under experienced staff guidance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering theories, principles, and practices.
• Strong planning and project management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills (technical writing).
• Analytical thinking with problem-solving ability.
• Proven time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Continue the development of a post-event model verification program for FACTS devices.
• Produce proposals and recommendations to support stakeholder collaboration and data exchange.
• Assist the experienced FACTS team with ongoing initiatives.
• Participate in site walkdowns and assist with field initiatives under guidance.
