Job summary

Dominion Energy seeks a Graduate Intern for the Electric Transmission Planning & Strategic Initiatives team. You will assist in power system modeling, load flow studies, and development of data center load models under mentor guidance, applying tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, and MATLAB.

This internship offers exposure to HVDC, FACTS, and new technologies, with opportunities to contribute to research, attend conferences, and present findings in a Summer Student Report Out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; pursuing Masters/PhD preferred.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Assist in power system modeling and analysis.
• Support load flow, dynamic, and small-signal studies.
• Perform electromagnetic transient simulations.
• Contribute to studies on renewable integration and microgrids.
• Assist in developing and maintaining computer-based tools.
