UC Irvine is seeking a seasoned graduate student services leader to oversee centralized functions for graduate and postdoctoral communities. You will set operational goals, translate priorities into actionable plans, and lead managers across recruitment, admissions, and career counseling.

The role requires a strong background in advising, process improvement, and program leadership with a Bachelor's degree and 7–9 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Skills in monitoring / assessing people, processes or services, to make improvements.
  • Skills in project management, social perceptiveness to be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
  • Ability in problem identification, reasoning, ability to develop original ideas to solve problems, persuade others, and lead.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 7-9 years related experience
  • Knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.

Responsibilities

  • Manages several centralized student services functions for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
  • Determines the long- and short-term goals and objectives of the graduate student services operations.
  • Translates divisional priorities into operational plans and service delivery strategies for student services programs.
  • Directs subordinate supervisors and managers.
  • Has organization-wide impact for a variety of functions in graduate student recruitment, admissions, enrolled student services, career counseling, professional development, and graduate advising.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of student services operations and implements improvements to enhance service quality and student outcomes.
  • Supports divisional strategic initiatives by translating goals into actionable student services programs.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $$111,300- $$161,200 (Annual).
