Job summary

Southern Adventist University is seeking a full-time, in-person Teaching Faculty (Clinical Coordinator) for the School of Nursing graduate program. The role centers on coordinating graduate-level clinical experiences, securing contracts with clinical sites, ensuring preceptor qualifications and orientation, and evaluating performance in clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• Recent advanced practice NP clinical experience within the past 1–2 years is preferred.
• Experience teaching nursing in higher education (classroom and clinical) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver classroom instruction online or in person.
• Use technology and innovative methods to deliver quality course content and engage students.
• Create and administer classroom and clinical assignments, assessments, and evaluations; advise students.
• Hold regular office hours and participate in committees.
• Support students in their learning processes and assist in skills, simulation, or clinical areas as assigned.
• Contribute to curriculum development and accreditation processes; maintain credentials and stay updated on nursing standards.
• Engage in professional development; collaborate with nursing faculty and staff to achieve program goals.
• Promote a positive spiritual and supportive environment in all interactions; perform duties as assigned by the SON dean.
