Alliant Engineering, Inc. in Minneapolis is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our land development team.

You will assist in designing residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects, and contribute to site layout, grading, and stormwater management. The role offers exposure to a range of projects for national and local developers, with opportunities for field visits and collaboration with engineers, planners, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0-4 years of experience in land development design or construction management preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities, organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Participate in site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control calculations.
• Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other team members to support project goals and timelines.
• Conduct research and analysis of data such as zoning ordinances, site surveys, and environmental reports.
• Assist in preparing permit applications and coordinating with local and state agencies.
• Support project documentation, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants.
• Participate in field visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, if desired.

Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer at our Minneapolis office. As a Graduate Engineer, you will have the ability to be a part of a cohesive Land Development Engineering team. The base pay for this position is expected to be in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
