Job summary

Alliant Engineering, Inc. seeks a Professional Civil Engineer for our Land Development team in Minneapolis. You will coordinate with staff, municipalities, and clients to deliver quality projects on time and on budget, while growing market share in MN.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in land development, a MN PE license, and strong project management skills. We value collaboration, mentoring, and a client-focused approach across residential and commercial markets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of land development design or construction management.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota.
• Self-motivated with ability to apply engineering knowledge across projects.
• Strong principles of engineering and project management; working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and ICPR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering staff, municipalities, contractors and clients.
• Manage projects to meet schedules, budgets, standards and specs.
• Develop and manage client relationships in residential and commercial markets.
• Collaborate with senior management to expand MN market share.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior staff; maintain client relationships.
• Grow and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, communicate and collaborate with fellow engineering staff, both departmentally and across disciplines, local municipalities, contractors, and land development clients
• Manage projects for consistency with established processes, schedules, budgets, design standards, and specifications to ensure a quality project is delivered on-time and on-budget
• Passion to develop and manage client relationships in the Residential and Commercial markets
• Desire to work and team with senior management to develop strategies to increase market share in the MN market
• Aptitude to lead, mentor and advance junior staff
• Eagerness to grow and maintain strong client and staff relationships

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant Land Development design or construction management
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota
• Must possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects and work collaboratively with peers
• Strong working technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Strong project management skills are preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficiency with ICPR and stormwater modeling

The base pay for this position is expected to be in the range of $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
