Alliant Engineering, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our land development team. You’ll work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools under the guidance of licensed professionals.

You will engage in site layout, grading, stormwater, and permit coordination to help deliver quality solutions. You’ll gain hands-on experience across municipalities and private projects, collaborate with engineers and planners,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0-4 years of experience in land development design or construction management.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Experience using GEOPAK or INROADS software on highway design projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Participate in site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control calculations.
• Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other team members to support project goals and timelines.
• Conduct research and analysis of data such as zoning ordinances, site surveys, and environmental reports.
• Assist in preparing permit applications and coordinating with local and state agencies.
• Support project documentation, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants.
• Participate in field visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, if desired.

The Impact You’ll Have

Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our beautiful Jacksonville, Florida office! As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will have the ability to be a part of a cohesive Land Development Engineering team. Jump start your career by being exposed to a variety of city municipalities, and private and commercial land development experiences under the direction of a licensed and knowledgeable Professional Engineer.
