Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Graduate Bridge Engineer to join the Transportation Design Hub in the Baltimore Camden Yards office on a full-time, direct basis. You will contribute to structural analysis and design for bridges and related structures, perform NBIS inspections, and produce technical reports for multiple agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree, is FE/EIT eligible, and has experience with Microstation or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
FE / EIT required.
Microstation or AutoCAD experience.
Bridge inspection experience a plus.
Exposure to structural analysis programs (STAAD, LEAP Bridge, LEAP Concrete, AASHTOWare, BrR, BRASS, SAP/CSI, etc.) is a plus.
Exposure to modeling tools, especially BrIM or BIM work processes, is a plus.
GIS experience a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with the structural analysis and/or design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and overhead sign structures on diverse projects.
Perform NBIS bridge inspections in Maryland and surrounding states.
Produce high-quality technical writing for bridge inspection reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.
Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
