Position Summary
Guilford College, a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) located in Greensboro, N.C., is seeking one (1) individual for the position of Graduate Assistant for Athletic Operations. This position is open to those who are in the process of enrolling in a graduate program at Guilford College or have recently been accepted to a graduate program at Guilford. Enrollment in one of Guilford College’s graduate programs is a requirement of this position.
The Graduate Assistant will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities, Operations, and Intramurals in the management of facilities, game management, event operations, and laundry for all twenty-two Guilford Athletics programs.
Graduate assistant will receive:
An annual stipend of $3,000

Position Responsibilities:
Help oversee all athletic facilities on a day-to-day basis pertaining to operations and maintenance
Coordinate game-day operations for 22 NCAA sports
Assist with scheduling for all athletic facilities
Sort, clean, and distribute all athletic laundry
Assist with supervising interns and work study positions
Planning and execution of intramural sports
Assist Athletics Office upon request and other duties as assigned
Position Requirements/Preferred Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in sports management, communications or related field.
Must be accepted to one of Guilford College’s graduate programs
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in college athletics, preferably in external operations and/or event management
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work nights and weekends
Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the university
Diligent and organized working habits
