Job summary

KLA in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Graduate AI Engineer Intern to help build the next generation of AI-enabled enterprise applications. You will design, train, evaluate, deploy, and operationalize AI solutions that solve real business challenges.

The ideal candidate blends strong software engineering fundamentals with ML and AI agent development, and will build intelligent assistants, AI agents, and domain-specific AI solutions alongside business and technology leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled graduate student or PhD in relevant fields.
• Solid CS fundamentals and software engineering knowledge.
• Experience with AI/LLM projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build intelligent assistants and agentic workflows.
• Develop conversational AI solutions using Large Language Models.
• Implement multi-agent AI architectures.
• Train, tune, and deploy machine learning models.
• Build predictive and classification models.
• Develop recommendation engines and intelligent decision-support systems.
• Build APIs and microservices that expose AI capabilities.
• Develop reusable AI components and SDKs for enterprise adoption.
