Job summary

KLA is seeking a Graduate AI Engineer Intern to help build AI-enabled enterprise systems. You will design, train, evaluate, deploy and operationalize AI solutions that solve real business challenges, combining software engineering with ML/LLM expertise.

You will work on intelligent applications, AI agents, enterprise copilots and domain-specific AI solutions, building APIs and microservices to expose AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled graduate student or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Familiar with programming languages and frameworks, including but not limited to: C/C++/C#/Python/Java/JavaScript/Vue/AngularJS/PHP.
• Solid knowledge of CS and SW engineering: DSA, multithreading, OOP, design patterns, etc.
• Experience with projects related to AI / LLM / AI Agents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, tune, and deploy machine learning models.
• Build predictive and classification models.
• Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Design and develop AI-powered business applications.
• Build APIs and microservices that expose AI capabilities.
• Understanding of Back-end system design.
• Develop reusable AI components and SDKs for enterprise adoption.
