Job summary

East Texas A&M University is seeking a Communications Specialist to serve as the Graduate School’s primary communications resource, handling inquiries, admissions materials, and official documents. The role includes coordinating front office operations, maintaining communications, and supporting events and initiatives for student engagement.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary communications resource for the Graduate School and respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff.
• Coordinate receipt, distribution, and routing of admissions materials and official documents.
• Manage front office operations, including supplies, procurement, and service requests.
• Review and maintain Graduate School communications and webpages for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Assist with projects, events, and initiatives to support student engagement.
