Job summary

Jacksonville State University is seeking a Jax MIX Graduate Assistant to support the director and help add general education sessions to the JSU Student Symposium, while working closely with general education student ambassadors.

Positions depend on applicant qualifications and departmental needs, with an August 26, 2024 start date and a 20-hour workweek during fall/spring terms or a full summer term. A biweekly pay schedule applies, along with scholarship support up to $4,386 per semester.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a graduate student in good standing.
• Must maintain minimum GPA for enrolled degree program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the director with various tasks.
• Assist with adding general education sessions to the JSU Student Symposium (or similar event).
• Work directly with general education student ambassadors.
• Maintain office hours in the Jax MIX office to assist undergraduate students.
• Administrative duties as needed.
• Additional duties as required by the department.
