Job summary

Campbellsville University is seeking a BASC Graduate Assistant to support daily operations and student success initiatives within the Badgett Academic Support Center. You will work directly with students to provide academic support, tutoring, and resource navigation, contributing to a welcoming campus environment.

You will collaborate with BASC staff and campus partners, assist with events and workshops, and maintain records of student contacts and outcomes while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• Enrollment and good standing in an approved graduate program at Campbellsville University.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students from a variety of academic backgrounds and levels of preparation.
• Ability and willingness to provide tutoring or academic assistance within appropriate areas of competency.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality when working with student information.
• Comfortable learning and utilizing university technology, student information systems, communication platforms, and other academic support tools.
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to respond appropriately to changing student and departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to BASC visitors and refer students to appropriate university offices or staff.
• Offer tutoring to students individually or in small groups based on competency.
• Help students with study skills, organization, time management, and test preparation.
• Assist with planning and delivering workshops, study sessions, and academic success initiatives.
• Support BASC daily operations and maintain a welcoming environment for students.
• Help develop and maintain academic resources and materials for tutoring and study skills.
• Collaborate with BASC staff and campus partners to connect students with resources.
• Maintain records of student contacts and tutoring sessions; track participation and outcomes.
• Assist with BASC events, orientation activities, and other university programs; handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in interactions; perform other duties as assigned; may include evenings or weekends.
