Job summary

Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education seeks an Academic Advisor to guide graduate ALM degree candidates, supporting degree completion for 500+ students. The role reports to the Associate Director of Graduate Degree Candidate Advising & Program Administration at DCE.

Hybrid on-campus work in Cambridge, MA with at least 2 days on site. Requires 3 years in student services or advising, a Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) and strong communication, webinar, and public speaking

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in student services, academic advising, or career counseling.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with webinar presentation and video capture; excellent written and interpersonal communications; public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Advise graduate ALM degree candidates and support degree program completion for 500+ students.
• Assist in course selection to meet degree requirements and future plans.
• Maintain accurate degree records and promote academic services to meet student needs.
• Assist in planning events for community and career exploration, such as receptions and networking seminars.
