Job summary

AMERICAN ENGINEERING & DEVELOPMENT CORP is seeking a skilled grader operator for heavy civil fill and grading work in Florida. The role involves laying out grade surfaces, coordinating with the survey team, and ensuring proper densities and bindings for base materials.

You will safely operate the grader, with occasional loader/roller usage, while maintaining clear communication with the superintendent and crews on site.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Subgrade, Base, Rock and other material installations.
• Ability to safely operate large equipment (grader; occasional loader/roller).
• Familiarity with GPS-controlled grading and setup/take-down of GPS equipment.
• Physically able to lift small tools and equipment on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Superintendent and Survey teams to provide layout/direction for a quality finished product.
• Safely operate grader to establish grade fill surfaces.
• Coordinate water truck and rock/fill deliveries as needed.
• Perform base and subgrade inspections to ensure proper densities and bindings.
• Protect valves and structures during grading activities.
