Job summary

Branscome Companies Inc. in Virginia seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support major grading and site preparation across Hampton Roads.

You will operate dozers and excavators to move dirt, grade surfaces, and prepare for underground utilities, following safety policies and project specs. The role requires 3–5 years of equipment experience, the ability to read grade elevations, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years operating Dozers and Excavators for site grading and underground storm pipe installations.
• OSHA and/or MSHA certification a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret grade elevations and stakeout.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to move and level materials such as dirt, sand, and stone.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Spread dirt in fill areas and perform rough and fine-grade operations.
• Excavate for underground storm pipe installation.
• Read slope stakes and cut/fill slopes per project specs.
• Direct trucks and equipment on/off-loads and material spread.
• Dress and clean up the job site on completion.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
