Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• 0-5 years of construction industry experience preferred.
• NC Driver License and multiple certifications required (OSHA 10/30, Erosion Control Level II, Traffic Control Installer/Supervisor, MSHA, Asphalt Certification, Smith System Driving).

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and oversee the safe daily operation of a project crew.
• Collaborate with mentors to maintain a clean, safe site and motivate field teams to meet project goals and budgets.
• Coordinate day-to-day schedules to ensure efficient field operations.
• Assist Superintendent/Project Manager with overall scheduling and communication of material and manpower needs.
• Read and apply plans and specifications.
• Read, understand and apply plan details to complete jobs independently.
• Foster internal and external relationships with clients and the public.
• Mentor direct reports and field personnel with clear goals and coaching.
• Plan effectively with mentors for project labor, equipment, and material needs.
• Understand equipment capabilities and maximize utilization.

Assist Superintendent/Project Manager in the management of the overall schedule by maintaining open communication of project material, manpower needs and potential challenges or delays.* Basic knowledge of plan reading and adhering to plans and specifications.
