We are seeking an experienced Grading Foreman with strong skills in operating GPS-enabled dozers to lead grading operations on civil construction projects. Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Grading Foreman with strong skills in operating GPS-enabled dozers to lead grading operations on civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising grading crews, ensuring safe and efficient earthwork operations, and operating heavy machinery equipped with GPS systems to achieve precise grading tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise grading crews on site and coordinate daily activities to meet project timelines and specifications.
• Operate GPS dozers with a high degree of accuracy to perform fine and rough grading tasks.
• Interpret and implement grading plans and GPS models in coordination with project engineers and surveyors.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.
• Monitor site conditions and adjust work plans to accommodate changes in weather, soil, or equipment.
• Train and mentor operators and laborers on proper equipment use and safe work practices.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of GPS equipment and dozers to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless workflow.
• Complete necessary reports, including daily logs, timesheets, and progress updates.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in grading operations, with at least 2 years as a foreman or in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in operating GPS-enabled dozers (e.g., Trimble, Topcon).
• Solid understanding of grading, excavation, and earthmoving techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, grading plans, and GPS models.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA and construction site safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.

Preferred:

• Experience in civil, highway, or site development projects.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
